SES Moorabbin are currently recruiting anyone above the age of 18 to become a trained rescuer.
Our diverse community has become increasingly dependent on volunteers to provide specialised emergency assistance in times of emergency, and this is what we do well.
The typical volunteer we seek is an Australian citizen, physically active, mentally alert and safety conscious. You will need to have the support of others in your household, and your employment. You expect to be stable in domestic, employment and residential circumstances for at least the next three years. You need to be willing to assist the community in all types of adversity, and be willing to adapt to the circumstances. You will also need to have a thirst for knowledge and learning.
As a volunteer member of the Moorabbin SES Unit, you will be trained to help provide this support in areas such as Storm Damage Repair, Flood Assistance and support to our other emergency services. You should expect to see the best and worst that happens in our community. From fun activities, to accidents that have caused death.
I am confident that you will experience a great deal of self-satisfaction as a Moorabbin SES volunteer, through new skills learnt,
friendships made, and the knowledge that this contribution to our community is necessary, significant and fulfilling.
If you are interested in becoming an SES Volunteer, please complete the following contact form and we will reply to you as soon as possible.
